Samsung will stop providing software updates for some devices starting this month. The company published details of the March security patch for Galaxy smartphones and tablets earlier today and removed the Galaxy Note 10 Lite, Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy A71, and Galaxy A02 from the list of devices that are eligible for updates going forward.

The article continues after the video…

Since all four phones are well past their prime as far as feature or OS updates are concerned and were only receiving security updates for some time, it shouldn't bother most people who own any of those devices that the current firmware they're using will also be the last one.

Software support has ended for all Galaxy S10 or Galaxy Note 10 models

Critical security updates may be released for these devices if a serious security flaw is discovered in Android and Samsung's One UI, but the chances of that happening for devices that are no longer supported with software updates are usually slim.

With the discontinuation of updates for the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite, Samsung has now ended support for all Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 models. However, that's not the case for Galaxy A71 or Galaxy A02 variants: Samsung will continue releasing security updates for the Galaxy A71 5G and Galaxy A02s for another year.
