The Galaxy A55 will be unveiled on March 11, but the internet isn't interested in leaving Samsung with any secrets till launch day. A lot is already known about the upcoming phone, and the latest leak has revealed a couple of surprise upgrades that may be part of the package.

According to Reddit user ZozoGx, the Galaxy A55 has a display that can reach 1650 nits of brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on the front and back. It could also have the biggest vapor chamber ever for an A-series phone to tame the more powerful Exynos chip–featuring an AMD-powered GPU–under its hood.

The Galaxy S24 series has the brightest screens of any flagship smartphone Samsung has launched to date, and it appears its mid-range lineup may be getting a similar treatment. The Galaxy A54's display could go as high as 1000 nits, so the A55 will offer more than a 50% improvement.

Gorilla Glass Victus+, meanwhile, could drastically improve the phone's resistance to scratches and protection against cracks. Gorilla Glass Victus+ was introduced to Samsung smartphones with the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra back in 2022, and the company has kept all variants of Gorilla Glass Victus exclusive to its flagship phones till now.

When taking into account the recent revelation that there could be a Galaxy A55 variant with 12GB of RAM, Samsung's next mid-range phone is shaping up to be an absolute banger. However, the brighter screen and the stronger, more premium glass have not been mentioned in too many leaks or rumors, so we will remain skeptical till the time Samsung makes the Galaxy A55 official.
