Samsung started rolling out the March 2024 security patch to its devices on the first day of the month. So far, the company has released the security update to high-end and mid-range devices. Now, the tech giant has made it available for the Galaxy A14 5G, making it the first affordable Samsung device to get the latest security update.
The company has released the update for the international variant of the Galaxy A14 5G, which carries the model number SM-A146B. We can confirm that the update is live in India, and Samsung could be making it available in other regions as we speak. With the update, the firmware version should change to A146BXXS3CXC2. The March 2024 security patch fixes 45 security issues, among which, two are critical and 42 are moderate.
You can get the update from Samsung over the air by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install or download it from our database and install it manually, for which, you will need a Windows PC and Odin. The Galaxy A14 5G is currently on the quarterly security update schedule, which means that it should get the next security update before the end of June 2024. The phone is also eligible to get the One UI 6.1 update.
