With the Galaxy A55, Galaxy A52 owners finally have a good reason to upgrade their phones, but Samsung isn't leaving behind those who aren't interested in upgrading.
The Galaxy A52 received its final big Android OS update earlier this year, but it will continue getting regular security updates for another year or two. This week, the A52 received the latest security patch in some markets.
The March 2024 security update is available for the Galaxy A52 in Russia and some of its neighboring countries. Depending on where you are, you can identify the update with the firmware version A525FXXS6EXC2 or A525FXXS6EXC3.
Many other markets will likely get this update before the end of the month, though some users may have to wait longer, especially if Samsung only just released the Android 14/One UI 6.0 update in their country.
The update is aimed at enhancing the security of the device with the March patch, which fixes multiple security vulnerabilities discovered in the core Android operating system and Samsung's One UI software. And, well, that's about it for what's new with the latest Galaxy A52 firmware.
To download the latest update on your Galaxy A52, open the phone's Settings app, navigate to Software update, and tap the Download and install button. You can update your phone using firmware available in our archive, though this procedure requires a Windows PC and a USB-C cable.
