The latest security update is reaching more Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A54 owners, following the initial rollout that began last week in the US and a few other markets.
The update appears to be rolling out to mostly carrier-locked variants in Europe, but it is also available for standard retail units in some countries. The A53 update can be identified by the firmware version A536BXXS8DXC1 and the A54 update by A546BXXS6BXC1.
This update brings the March 2024 security patch, which fixes 44 security vulnerabilities found in the previous firmware, to the two phones. That's all it has to offer, but A53 and A54 owners can expect a bigger update in a few weeks that will bring version 6.1 of One UI.
Both the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A54 are also eligible for the Android 15 and One UI 7 update that will go official in the second half of the year. And that update may be more exciting as well, as One UI 6.1 for Samsung's mid-range phones won't bring any of the Galaxy S24's AI features.
As always, you can download the latest update on your phone by navigating to the Settings » Software update menu and selecting the Download and install option. If that doesn't work, check again after a few days as these updates are rolled out in phases or use firmware available in the SamMobile archive to update the phone manually using a Windows PC.
