As we exclusively revealed a few days ago, Samsung will hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event in July 2024. At the event, the company will likely unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. While the Galaxy Z Flip 6 isn't expected to bring a design change, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is rumored to have an improved design and an underrated feature from the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 rumored to feature Gorilla Glass Armor and 16GB RAM
According to a claim from tipster @kro_roe, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have an anti-reflective screen. If it is what we think it is, and if it is true, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could feature the same Gorilla Glass Armor protection that debuted with the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This will likely be used on the phone's cover screen, making it better at resisting reflections from the sun and other light sources. So, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could have better screen visibility in outdoor conditions.
However, take this information with a pinch of salt. The inner screen might not have an anti-reflective coating due to the foldable nature of the display. You can watch how the Gorilla Glass Armor cuts down on reflections in our Galaxy S24 Ultra review in the video below.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 will reportedly have the top-of-the-line Snapdragon processor (likely Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy). It will also reportedly have 12GB or 16GB of RAM, depending on the variant. If this information is accurate, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have the highest RAM on any Galaxy Z Fold series device ever. The phone is also said to be available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage variants.
The rumor also claims that Samsung's next flagship foldable phone will have UWB, a large heat dissipation system, a faster touch sampling rate, and possibly a built-in S Pen. However, the tipster says that the built-in S Pen slot could be canceled and it isn't confirmed yet. The renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 were leaked a few weeks ago, revealing a shorter and wider body and a triple-camera setup.
