Samsung to fix custom themes not getting applied fully to Samsung Keyboard with One UI 6.1

Good Lock’s Theme Park allows you to create and apply custom themes to the Samsung Keyboard. However, on some devices, custom themes don’t get applied completely if the ‘Color Palette’ option in One UI is enabled, which lets you choose a color palette for UI elements with customizable colors, such as quick setting toggles and keys in Calculator. Well, Samsung says that it is aware of the issue and will fix the problem with One UI 6.1.

On Samsung’s Community forum for Korea, a Galaxy Z Fold 4 user complained that when they applied a custom theme to the Samsung Keyboard using Theme Park, the theme was only partially applied to the keyboard, with the rest of the keyboard showing different colors than what they chose.

In response to the complaint, a moderator on the platform asked the user if they had the Color Palette option enabled. According to the moderator, when you apply a custom theme to the Samsung Keyboard using Theme Park when the Color Palette is enabled, the theme doesn’t get applied completely. More importantly, they revealed that Samsung is planning to fix this issue with One UI 6.1.

Galaxy devices running on One UI 6.1 don't have these issues

The Galaxy S24 series and a few other phones come with One UI 6.1 out of the box. Samsung has also released new software customization for a bunch of devices. On these devices, there are no issues related to applying custom themes to the Samsung Keyboard using Theme Park. So, the brand seems to have fixed the issue that people have been experiencing, with One UI 6.1.

Unfortunately, the South Korean tech giant hasn’t released One UI 6.1 to many eligible devices yet, including the Galaxy Z Fold 4. These are the devices on which people are still experiencing issues with applying custom themes to the Samsung Keyboard using Theme Park. Hopefully, One UI 6.1 will fix those problems. On a related note, Samsung has just released an update to Theme Park.
