Samsung may be the biggest and most successful Android manufacturer, but in the specs race, Galaxy devices often fall behind competing devices, mostly the ones made by Chinese manufacturers. Charging speed is one area in which the difference is especially massive.
Samsung's smartphones have large batteries that match and even exceed the capacities of virtually all competing devices, but it's an entirely different situation as far as charging speeds are concerned. While Chinese companies are equipping their phones with charging speeds north of 100W, 45W is the maximum you can get on Galaxy devices.
But even 45W charging is pretty rare among Samsung phones. Most devices, flagship or otherwise, that Samsung has launched in the last couple of years are limited to 25W.
As a result, whether or not a Galaxy phone has support for 45W charging isn't always easy to find. To help those looking to buy a Galaxy phone that launched in 2024 and can charge at 45W, we have compiled the list below.
Galaxy phones that launched in 2024 with 45W charging
The list is very short, especially when you consider the fact that the M55, C55, and F55 are just rebranded versions of the same phone for different markets. They also aren't as widely available as Samsung's flagship phones and Galaxy A series devices, so for some, the list may be even shorter.
That might not change over the coming months, either. Samsung will launch two new foldables–the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6–in July, but as of May 3, 2024, it isn't confirmed if either device will get a bump in charging speeds from 25W.
Finally, remember that you will not a charger in the box no matter which device you pick. Both the 25W and 45W chargers need to be purchased separately. You can buy them on Samsung's official website and at popular retailers.
