In June 2023, Google launched the Pixel Tablet, the company’s first tablet in almost a decade. It costs USD 499 for the 128GB storage variant and USD 549 for the 256GB model and comes with a Charging Speaker Dock inside the box. Well, not anymore.
Google has now started selling the Pixel Tablet without the Charging Speaker Dock as well (via 9To5Google). It costs USD 399 for the 128GB model and USD 499 for the 256GB variant. Many people have been wanting only the tablet and not the dock as the latter isn’t useful for them. Those people have been holding off on the purchase of the Pixel Tablet as they didn’t want to waste money on the Charging Speaker Dock. Well, they can now finally buy only the Pixel Tablet.
At USD 399, the Pixel Tablet is USD 50 more affordable than the Galaxy Tab S9 FE. While both tablets have their advantages over each other, the Pixel Tablet’s lower price tag will make it look more lucrative to people. That means Google’s latest move could impact the sales of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE. It would be interesting to see how Samsung responds to Google’s move. We hope that the company drops the price of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE to attract more people to it.
