Galaxy S22 gets One UI 6.1 update with several AI features
Samsung has announced the release of the One UI 6.1 update to the Galaxy S22 series. The update seems to have hit devices on AT&T's network already, and we expect the update to be released on all other carrier networks later today or within the next few days. Since it is a major update, it would be wiser to download the update over a Wi-Fi network.
The update brings AI-Generated Wallpapers, Browsing Assist (webpage summarization), Chat Assist (real-time language translation in messages), Circle to Search with Google, Edit Suggestion, Generative Edit (AI-powered image editing), Interpreter Mode, Live Translate (during voice calls), Note Assist (notes summarization and auto-formatting), and Transcript Assist (in Voice Recorder app).
You can watch the video below to see all the features One UI 6.1 brings to the Galaxy S22 with the new update. However, not all AI features from the Galaxy S24 are available to the Galaxy S22.
If you live in the US and have a Galaxy S22 series phone, you can now check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. Once the new firmrware is available in our database, you can download the file and flash it manually.
