It's been a while since Samsung launched new wireless earbuds. We didn't get a pair alongside the Galaxy S24 launch earlier this year, so it's highly likely that we'll be seeing the Galaxy Buds 3 being unveiled with the new foldable phones in a couple of months.
There have been some indications that Samsung has the Galaxy Buds 3 in development and that they will be launched soon. They've now cleared a major regulatory hurdle which is a clear indication of the impending launch of these earbuds.
Samsung's geared up for the Galaxy Buds 3 launch
Both the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro have now been spotted at the FCC here and here, respectively. We had exclusively reported in November last year that Samsung would release a Galaxy Buds 3 Pro as well.
The Galaxy Buds 3 may offer some new features that we haven't seen before on Samsung's earbuds. They're said to feature on-device AI for real-time language translation for voice and video calls as well as in-person conversations. It's unclear whether this feature will be available on both models or if it will be limited to just the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.

It won't be surprising if Samsung does bring on-device AI for translations to its wireless earbuds. Live Translate is one of the core Galaxy AI features. It makes it easy to have conversations in a different language with other people over the phone and in-person. Bringing it over to the Galaxy Buds will be a natural extension for this feature.
The FCC sighting isn't the only regulatory hurdle the Galaxy Buds 3 has cleared in recent weeks. The pair has already been certified by Anatel, Brazil's regulatory authority, making it clear in no uncertain terms that we're in for new wireless earbuds alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 launch. Our sources have revealed that the new foldables will be unveiled in Paris on July 10, 2024.
