Samsung is bringing the highly anticipated One UI 6.1 update to another mid-range phone. After releasing One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 over the past few days, the same update is now making its way onto the older Galaxy A73.
The One UI 6.1 update is now available in Malaysia, where users can identify it by firmware version A736BXXU7EXDC. The update includes the April 2024 security patch and weighs a little over 2.6GB.
Although One UI 6.1 brings many improvements to the mid-range Galaxy A user experience, the Galaxy AI suite is missing. This new Galaxy A73 update will introduce many features that pertain to One UI 6.1, but it doesn't include clever Galaxy AI goodies like Interpreter, Live Call Translate, Generative Wallpaper, Generative Edit, and others.
You can read our detailed breakdown of the One UI 6.1 changelog for Galaxy A devices for more information. Some One UI 6.1 highlights include new widgets for the Lock Screen and Always On Display, improved Gallery features, Quick Share merged with Nearby Share, and various 1st party app tweaks.
