Back in February, Samsung launched the Samsung Highlights app for Galaxy smartphones and tablets. It offers a collection of short, vertically oriented-videos from various sources for you to watch. More importantly, it has an option to show that content right on the lock screen.
With it enabled, whenever you turn on the phone’s display, you will see a short video playing instead of a wallpaper. You can swipe right to start watching short videos right on the lock screen. The app can also curate videos according to your interests.
While it has been two months since Samsung launched Samsung Highlights, the app is still in the beta stage, and now, the brand is rolling out the second update to it. It bumps the app’s version to 1.2.7. Unfortunately, Samsung hasn’t provided a changelog for the update.
We are assuming that it fixes bugs and offers improved performance. To update the app, go to Galaxy Store » Menu » Updates and click on the update icon beside the app’s listing or tap Update all.
So far, Samsung has made Samsung Highlights available only in a few countries around the globe, most likely because the app is still in the beta stage. So, a few of you might not be able to find it in Galaxy Store. Expect the company to release Samsung Highlights in more countries once it launches the stable version of the app.
In the meantime, you can check out our video above to make the most out of the newly released One UI 6.1. You can check out if your Galaxy smartphone or tablet is eligible for the update in this article.
