Last month, we learned that the crease on the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s display will be much less visible than that on the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s screen, thanks to the usage of a thicker Ultra Thin Glass (UTG). Well, Samsung seems to be working on extending the same improvement to the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
According to a post from Ice Universe on X, the crease on the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s display will be less visible than that on the Galaxy Z Fold 5’s screen. At the moment, there’s no information on how Samsung is achieving this improvement.
However, we reckon that the tech giant is taking the same approach with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 to offer this upgrade that it is taking with the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which is to equip the display with a UTG of 50mm thickness instead of 30mm thickness.
You can check out how prominent the crease is on the Galaxy Z Fold 5's display in our video below.
The tipster notes that the crease hasn’t been completely eliminated, which is totally acceptable considering that no brand offers a foldable phone with a foldable display that has no visible crease. We just hope that the crease situation on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is as good as that on Chinese phones, such as the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro.
