After launching its new Micro LED, Neo QLED, OLED, and QLED TVs earlier this year at CES 2024, Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 series. However, the company isn't done yet and is expected to launch several other high-end devices, including the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra.
Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra confirmed to launch in 2024
Reliable tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) has published the list of devices Samsung will launch this year. The list contains the Snapdragon X Elite-equipped Galaxy Book 4 Edge and the Galaxy Book 4 Edge Pro, which were unveiled last night after Microsoft's big event. It also reveals two new wireless earbuds: the Galaxy Buds 3 and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. However, the most surprising product he listed is the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra.
It has been rumored that Samsung will launch a higher-end smartwatch this year, but it has now been confirmed that it will be called the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra. Our exclusive report revealed a few months ago that Samsung will launch a new smartwatch with a square screen and 32GB internal storage. However, it isn't clear if that square smartwatch is the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra.
The complete list published by Evan Blass is below.
- Galaxy Book 4 Edge
- Galaxy Book 4 Edge Pro
- Galaxy Buds 3
- Galaxy Buds 3 Pro
- Galaxy Ring
- Galaxy Watch FE
- Galaxy Watch 7
- Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Flip 6
- Galaxy Z Fold 6
Watch our experience with the Galaxy Ring in the video below.
The Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra are expected to run Wear OS 5-based One UI Watch 6. Wear OS 5 was unveiled by Google last week, and it brings improvements to the battery life and adds more health-related features. It also improves media playback control, screenshot detection, and more detailed workout metrics.
Samsung will also launch the Galaxy Watch FE, which will likely be a slightly renewed Galaxy Watch 4. It will likely be priced lower than the Galaxy Watch 7 and could be a great entry point for new buyers. The South Korean firm unveiled its first smart ring, the Galaxy Ring, late last year, and it could be launched at its next Galaxy Unpacked event in July.
Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 confirmed
Evan Blass also confirmed in his tweet that Samsung will launch devices codenamed B6 and Q6 this year. B6 is the codename for the Galaxy Z Flip 6, while Q6 is the codename for the Galaxy Z Fold 6. These upcoming phones are expected to feature a less visible crease on the foldable screen and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
These smartphones are not expected to bring any major camera improvements, but they are rumored to feature bigger batteries for longer battery life. They are expected to run Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 software out of the box. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could also promise seven major Android OS updates, just like the Galaxy S24 series.
Is Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra cancelled?
Unfortunately, the list of upcoming Samsung devices doesn't include the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra. This device was rumored to feature higher-end cameras like the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but it looks like it isn't on the horizon for Samsung right now.
