The May 2024 security update is rolling out to two more Galaxy smartphones this week. Samsung has released the update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy S23 FE in select markets.
The Galaxy S23 FE's update is rolling out in India while the Z Fold 4 is getting the update in some Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern countries — the updates sport build numbers S711BXXS3CXE3 and F936BXXS7FXE6 respectively. Both devices will likely get the update in many more markets by the end of this month.
Story continues after the break
Since these phones received the One UI 6.1 update not too long ago, it should come as no surprise that Samsung has only bundled security enhancements with the new update. The May 2024 security patch fixes several critical and non-critical vulnerabilities in the Android OS and Samsung One UI – more details are available here for those interested in the nitty-gritty.
Downloading the latest security update on the S23 FE or Z Fold 4 is as easy as opening the phone's Settings app, navigating to the Software update menu, and selecting Download and install. Firmware files for both devices are also available in our firmware library and can be used as an alternative method for installing the new software.
