Samsung expanded the reach of the May 2024 security update for the Galaxy A54 to Europe. The update was released one week after the One UI 6.1 update and a few days after it hit Galaxy A54 units in the USA.
The update will likely be released to the Galaxy A54 in other countries and regions within the next few days.
Galaxy A54 gets May 2024 security update in Europe
The new software update for the Galaxy A54 comes with firmware version A546BXXS8CXE2. It is available in several European countries, including Austria, Croatia, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and the UK. It includes the May 2024 security patch, which fixes dozens of security vulnerabilities discovered in the past few months.
If you have a Galaxy A54 and live in Europe, you can now check for the new update on your device. To do that, open the Settings app on your phone, scroll down to find the Software update section, and tap Download and install.
You can also download the appropriate firmware file from our database and flash the file manually using a computer running Windows OS and having the Odin tool installed. However, to use this manual process, you need to be well-versed in the manual flashing process and back up all your data to a safer location.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A54 early last year with Android 13-based One UI 5.0 onboard. The mid-range phone received the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update late last year and the One UI 6.1 update a few days ago. It will get three more Android OS updates in the future and an additional year of security patches.
