The day before yesterday, Samsung released the June 2024 security patch to the Galaxy S24 series smartphones, making them the first set of Samsung devices to get the latest security update. Back then, the company had made the software update available for the carrier-locked variants of the three devices.
Now, it is making the June 2024 security patch available to the carrier-unlocked variants of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which carry model numbers SM-S921U1, SM-S926U1, and the SM-S928U1. The latest software update carries the firmware version S928xU1UES2AXE4. To get it, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. We’ve made the latest firmware available in our database. You can download it from our firmware section and install it using the Odin software on a Windows PC.
Galaxy S24 to get a major software update next month
Samsung is expected to release a software update to the Galaxy S24 series smartphones in July (after the Galaxy Unpacked event), which will fix all the issues related to the camera and improve image quality. We also hope that the update brings a fix for the very annoying battery drain issues on these smartphones.
