The Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be officially unveiled next month during the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10. However, before the event, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 specifications have leaked in full, and things aren't looking great for potential buyers.

There are no real improvements in the Galaxy Z Fold 6 compared to its predecessor.

Leaked Galaxy Z Fold 6 specifications

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 specifications were published by SmartPrix. According to their report, the upcoming device has a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with HD+ resolution (2,376 x 968 pixels), a 22:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Its internal screen is a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x panel with QXGA+ resolution (2,160 x 1,856 pixels), a 4:3.4 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The phone has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 12GB RAM, and 512GB storage. It seems to have 484GB available free storage, which is 31GB more than earlier. The device will also be available in 256GB and 1TB storage variants.

It measures 153.5 x 68.1 x 12.1 mm when it is folded and 153.5 x 132.6 x 5.6 mm when it is unfolded. It weighs 239g, which makes it 13g lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6's camera setup is identical to the Galaxy Z Fold 5. It has a 50MP primary rear camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera (3x optical zoom) with OIS. The primary rear camera supports 8K 30fps video recording and 4K 120fps slow-motion video recording.

It also has a 10MP front-facing camera on the cover screen and a 4MP (4-in-1 pixel binning using a 16MP sensor) front-facing camera on the internal screen.

Connectivity features of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 include GPS, 5G (dual-nano-SIM card slot + eSIM), 4G, Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.3, UWB, NFC, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) Type-C port. It will come in three colors: Navy, Pink, and Silver Shadow.

Disappointingly, the phone is still powered by a 4,400mAh battery, similar to its predecessor. So, there will likely be no real improvement in battery life. While the report doesn't say anything about the IP rating, speakers, fingerprint reader, and charging speeds, they will likely be the same as those of the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

The story continues after our Galaxy Z Fold 5 review video.

There were rumors about the Galaxy Z Fold 6 getting a slightly higher battery capacity, but that doesn't seem to be true, at least according to this new report.

However, Samsung seems to be extracting slightly longer battery life from the same battery capacity. The report says the Z Fold 6 can last up to 18 hours on both cellular (1 hour longer) and Wi-Fi networks, up to 23 hours of video playback (2 hours longer), and up to 77 hours of music playback (4 hours longer).

As per this leak (and as per previous reports), the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is thinner and lighter, and has a shorter and wider displays than its predecessor. It also appears to feature 4K 120fps video recording for slow-motion videos. It also reportedly features a titanium frame, similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Leaked Galaxy Z Fold 6 prices

A previous report claimed that Samsung is raising the price of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 by $100 in the US. So, the pricing of its three storage variants is listed below.

  • Galaxy Z Fold 6 (256GB): $1899.99
  • Galaxy Z Fold 6 (512GB): $2019.99
  • Galaxy Z Fold 6 (1TB): $2259.99
