Samsung should reveal the Galaxy S22 series in February 2022, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra model, in particular, is shaping up to be quite the unusual premium Galaxy S device. Evidence shows that, for the first time in the flagship series' history, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has an integrated S Pen holster for those people that might be missing the Galaxy Note.
Speaking of mobile productivity, SamMobile has now exclusively learned that one variant of the Galaxy S22 Ultra could boast a whopping 1TB of built-in storage, which should be enough even for the most demanding users.
Samsung's flagships haven't had 1TB of storage since the Galaxy S10+
The last time Samsung has released a flagship with 1TB of built-in storage was back in early 2019. The pricier Galaxy S10+ configuration came with 12GB of RAM and 1TB of built-in storage, though back then, expandable memory was still a common feature in flagships. The Galaxy S22 Ultra, on the other hand, is expected to lack expandable storage.
Samsung's next Ultra-labeled flagship should be able to record 8K videos with the primary camera system and 4K videos with the selfie shooter. Avid mobile photographers who may not want to rely too heavily on cloud storage will most likely gravitate towards the 1TB model for the sake of convenience.
As yet, prices for the 1TB Galaxy S22 Ultra variant are unknown, and availability could be limited to select markets and possibly only to Samsung's official website, but we'll keep you up to speed as soon as we find out more.
