It seems no one over at Samsung is in the holiday mood, as the company is working hard to bring the Android 12 and One UI 4.0 update to as many Galaxy devices as possible before the new year. Following the Galaxy S10 series, it's now the original Galaxy Z Flip (and its 5G cousin) that is getting the big upgrade today!
The update is rolling out for the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G in Italy and Switzerland respectively, but it should make its way to more countries in the coming days. If you own either device, you can check if the update is available for you from the phone's Settings » Software update menu. As usual, our firmware archives are at your disposal if you want to perform the upgrade manually.
With the Galaxy Z Flip now making the jump to Android 12, Samsung has nearly two handfuls of devices that have received the update, which is insanely impressive. That said, as we've said in the past, we need to keep our fingers crossed that Samsung has tested everything properly and these updates aren't filled with bugs, which is why we're recommending everyone take a backup of all their important data before they install Android 12 on their Galaxy phone or tablet.
