After releasing the stable Android 12 update to the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and the Galaxy S10+ yesterday, Samsung has released the update to the Galaxy S10 5G. The update is currently rolling out in Switzerland, and more countries will get access to this update over the next few days.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S10 5G comes with firmware version G977BXXUBGULB. It includes the December 2021 security patch that fixes dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. Apart from all the new Android 12 features, the update also brings general bug fixes, improved performance, and device stability improvements.
If you are a Galaxy S10 5G user in Switzerland, you might have already received the update notification. If you haven't received it yet, you can check for the update manually by heading over to Settings » Software update and clicking on Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware file for your device from our database and flash it manually.
The Galaxy S10 5G was launched in early 2019 with Android 9 Pie-based One UI. The smartphone received the Android 10-based One UI 2 update in late 2019 and the Android 11-based One UI 3 update earlier this year. Android 12 is the last major OS update for the smartphone, but it will continue to get security updates for one more year.
