Last week, Samsung released the Android 12 update to the Galaxy A52 and the Galaxy A52s 5G. And Galaxy A52 5G users were feeling left out. Now, the company has started rolling out the Android 12 update to the Galaxy A52 5G as well.
The Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update for the Galaxy A52 5G (SM-A526B) has been released in Europe. The update comes with firmware version A526BXXU1BUL7 and includes the January 2022 security patch. Samsung could release the major new software update in other parts of the world very soon.
If you are a Galaxy A52 5G user in Europe, there is a chance that you might have already received a notification of the new update. If you haven't received it yet, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

The One UI 4.0 update brings a slightly refreshed UI design, featuring the Material You-inspired Color Palette feature, new widget styling, more widget options, improved AoD and Dark Mode. There are new lock screen widgets, too. Privacy and security have been enhanced, thanks to privacy indicators and quick setting toggles for camera and microphone access.
Samsung has also improved its stock apps, including My Files, Samsung Internet, and Samsung Keyboard. Bixby and Bixby Routines have received new features as well. New accessibility features have been added, and the performance has been improved.
