Samsung has already released the February 2022 security update to a few smartphones. However, the US variants of the Galaxy S10 Lite and the Galaxy S20 FE 5G have only now started getting the January 2022 security patch. The update is available for the unlocked Galaxy S10 Lite and the carrier-locked Galaxy S20 FE 5G.
The latest software update for the unlocked variant of Galaxy S10 Lite comes with G770U1UES6EVA2 in the US. The update is available on all carrier networks in the country, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular South, Comcast, C-Spire, Sprint, Tracfone, and Xfinity Mobile. The carrier-locked model of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G is getting the new update with firmware version G781USQS6EVA9 on Sprint and T-Mobile's networks.
Both these phones are updated with the January 2022 security patch that fixes dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities in Galaxy smartphones.
If you are a Galaxy S10 Lite or Galaxy S20 FE 5G user in the US, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
