Samsung entered the so-called “metaverse” last month through the ZEPETO platform with the release of “My House.” The latter is a virtual space in the ZEPETO metaverse that players can decorate using various Samsung Electronics products, furniture, fabrics, and more. Samsung released the platform at CES 2022, and it turned out to be extremely popular among ZEPETO users.
Samsung announced today that, as of January 28, its My House virtual module in the metaverse surpassed a whopping 4 million cumulative visits. Again, this figure was recorded less than a month after the launch of Samsung's My House in the ZEPETO metaverse, so it certainly looks like it gained a lot of traction immediately after its CES 2022 debut.
My House users can interact with and customize various Samsung products in a virtual environment. For this reason, Samsung says it expects My House to create synergy with the “YouMake” campaign.
In other words, My House should have made some 4 million people more aware of Samsung's Bespoke endeavors and the product lines that can be thoroughly customized. These include the Galaxy Z Flip 3 Bespoke Edition and Bespoke refrigerators, the Galaxy Watch 4 via Bespoke Studio, the Frame's customizable frames, and more.
Given the success of My House, Samsung plans to “expand […] marketing activities to meet the needs of the MZ generation by continuously developing a customer experience optimized for the metaverse,” said the VP of Samsung Electronics Global Marketing Center Lee Young-hee.
