While we know Samsung as a technology behemoth, the company has been offering several schemes for young people to get their feet established in the world of work. Recently, Samsung announced a new UK apprenticeship scheme that brings a wonderful opportunity for young people.
With this scheme, young people will get the best of both worlds. Meaning, they can work while they are en route to getting their degree. The Samsung UK Apprenticeship scheme will let young people upgrade and develop their skills as per the current fast-paced scenario.
The scheme will include apprenticeships in a range of disciplines within Samsung UK
As noted in the official blog, there are over 450,000 unemployed youths in the UK. This is the result of the pandemic that the world has witnessed for the past two years. With this new apprenticeship scheme, Samsung wants to give the right direction to the majority of young adults in gaining the chance to work, upgrade their skills, and earn their living.
Not everyone who applies to this scheme will get the benefits, though. Only selected participants will be offered the ‘earn and learn' grant. Under this, they can work and simultaneously get a degree in the field of their interest, which will be fully funded by Samsung UK. While at work, successful applicants will be provided training by experts, a competitive salary, and all staff benefits.
Samsung UK's apprenticeship scheme will offer apprenticeships in a wide range of disciplines within Samsung UK. These disciplines include marketing, sales and business development, technical and finance. Applications are now open until March 17th, with assessments running from February to April 2022.
Successful applicants will be informed and they can start from September 2022, alongside Samsung’s wider Emerging Talent program. More information about this can be found on Samsung's official website.
