Samsung confirmed yesterday that it will release a new update for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic that will bring lots of new features. The company had said that this update would be released starting February 10, 2022.
As we know, Samsung has been in a rush to get updates out the door quickly recently. So we're definitely not complaining. The company has already released the promised Galaxy Watch 4 update that's packed with new features.
Feature-packed Galaxy Watch 4 update is now available for download
The Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic are Samsung's first smartwatches powered by Wear OS 3. They have great specs, bright and colorful displays with decent battery life. Ample health and fitness tracking features were present out of the box.
The major update that it's now released for the Galaxy Watch 4 series further improves these capabilities. Users will now receive more motivation to hit their fitness goals, there's interval training functionality and the ability to measure and display the percentage of VO2 Max in real-time.
This, and a lot more, is included in the update that's rolling out today. Samsung has already released this much-awaited update in countries across Europe. We've also seen reports from South Korea about the update being available for download.
As you'd expect, it's a significant release that weighs in around 660MB. Look out for firmware version R8xxXXU1EVA8 for your Galaxy Watch 4 or Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.
