Here’s what Samsung’s paying when you trade-in for the Galaxy S22

Samsung customers have a couple of weeks at their disposal to pre-order the Galaxy S22 series, and judging by how stocks are dwindling, demand already appears to be higher than expected. It may have something to do with the apparent high quality of these latest phones, or maybe Samsung's latest amazing trade-in deals are the primary cause.

If you're unfamiliar with Samsung's trade-in program, it's simple: You trade in your old smartphone upon ordering a new Galaxy S22 device, and Samsung gives you a discount based on the value of the phone from which you're upgrading. And, by the way, Samsung accepts Galaxy phones as well as smartphones from other brands.

Trade-in values are not set in stone every year, but it certainly looks like prospective Galaxy S22 customers have plenty of opportunities to pay less up-front than they'd normally do.

The Galaxy Note 10+ 5G is surprisingly ‘valuable'

Samsung doesn't usually offer a lot of money in exchange for older Galaxy phones, but this year, the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G, in particular, appears to be making an exception.

Trading in the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G in good condition, you can get a $500 discount on the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Combined with a $100 instant rebate and pre-order bonuses, you can make the 128GB/256GB Galaxy S22 Ultra yours for the price of $699 or the 512GB model for $799.

Keep in mind that, throughout the Galaxy S22 pre-order period ending February 24, the 256GB models cost the same as the 128GB variants, and the 512GB variants have the same price as the ones with 256GB of memory.

The Galaxy Note 10+ 5G is an honorable mention, and it may seem like Samsung is targeting the Galaxy S22 Ultra directly at these customers who may want to upgrade. However, the Note 10+ 5G isn't the phone that offers the highest trade-in value.

You could trade in the iPhone 12 Pro Max and buy the Galaxy S22 (256GB) for only $99. Or trade in the Galaxy S21 Ultra and pay $209 for the 256GB S22.

There are other fantastic trade-in deals to consider, so without further ado, here's how much Samsung is willing to give you in exchange for some of the more popular phones out there.
