Samsung is going to roll out an update for Good Lock 2022 starting tomorrow. For those who are unaware, Good Lock is a suite of customization and personalization modules from Samsung. They enable users to change the look and feel of their devices as well as expand functionality.
Good Lock modules receive a major update every year whenever a new Android OS upgrade is released. Samsung already updated Good Lock once Android 12 was released. There's now another update on the way that brings some new Good Lock 2022 features.
Latest Good Lock 2022 update brings new features
One of the members from the Good Lock team has confirmed on Samsung's official forums for South Korea that this Good Lock 2022 update will be out starting tomorrow.
It was also highlighted that Good Lock is a voluntary effort by developers who work on its features during spare time. That's one of the reasons why updates are not so frequent. However, it's commendable that developers continue to support this much-loved suite for the fans.
The post details all of the improvements that the Good Lock 2022 update brings. For example, the Nice Shot module will now provide a setting to show the Delete button immediately after a screenshot is taken and to not have it saved to the clipboard.
Various backgrounds can also be set for self-video recording. For Galaxy Watch 4 users, the ClockFace module makes it possible to use the watch face on the phone as well. This feature only works for watch faces made by the developers via the Watch Face Studio.
One Hand Operation+ adds new gestures for keyboard shortcuts and moving the screen. SoundAssistant makes the volume panel templates easier to use and lets users create their own in DeX mode.
The developers working on Good Lock encourage users to provide their feedback and suggestions so that Good Lock modules can be improved further. The update being rolled out tomorrow will be gradually made available to users throughout the week.
