Earlier this yet, Samsung slyly launched the low-cost Galaxy A03 in Vietnam, not to be confused with the Galaxy A03 Core that made its way to the Indian market around the same time. Now, the full-fat Galaxy A03 is all set to hit shelves in the Indian subcontinent. A new leak tells us how much it could cost.
The Galaxy A03 will be competitively priced in India
MySmartPrice has learned from renowned tipster Mukul Sharma aka @Stufflistings that the Galaxy A03 will be offered in two variants, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, which will cost INR 10,499 ($140). Upping the RAM and storage to 4GB and 64GB will set you back by INR 11,999 ($160).
For those out of the loop, the Galaxy A03 packs a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with a 5MP selfie camera, 48MP primary lens and 2MP depth sensor. Under the hood, it packs a UNISOC-branded SoC, presumably belonging to the Tiger T6xx series, a PowerVR IMG8322 GPU, and a 5,000mAh battery.
In theory, the Galaxy A03 should offer stellar battery life thanks to its underpowered CPU and colossal battery. It should serve as an ideal entry-level smartphone, although it runs the risk of being outshined by better-specced offerings from Chinese bigwigs such as Xiaomi and Realme due to its somewhat lacklustre hardware.
It isn't clear when Samsung plans on launching the Galaxy A03 in India, but it shouldn't be long, now that the prices have been decided. Don't expect to see a dedicated launch event, though.
