Samsung, the global leader in the fully-virtualized 5G vRAN market, is now collaborating with industry leaders and innovators to expand the 5G vRAM ecosystem. These industry leaders also include providers of chipsets, cloud platforms, and servers. The main idea behind this collaboration is to multiply the 5G vRAM ecosystem and make it a more scalable, flexible network.
Notably, this will help in delivering carrier-grade performance, management, and reliability. Thanks to Samsung's 5G vRAM solution, deployed across the globe, makes it the only company to deliver fully-virtualized commercial RAN deployments in North America, Europe, and also Asia.
Samsung is joining hands with Dell Technologies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Intel, and more
In December 2020, Samsung began delivering its 5G vRAN solutions for commercial network service in the United States. It began catering reliable mobile services to millions of users across the states.
According to the official newsroom post, Samsung has already validated the interoperability with each company platform with which it is joining hands for this 5G vRAN ecosystem expansion. These companies include Dell Technologies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Intel, Red Hat, and Wind River.
The best part about Samsung's 5G vRAN solution is that it separates the hardware and software in the baseband and supports open fronthaul interfaces. Samsung's O-RAN compliant 5G vRAN solutions are already implemented on Japanese and UK networks.
Furthermore, Samsung says that it will continue to collaborate with industry leaders to expand the 5G network.
