Three weeks ago, Samsung released the February 2022 security update to the Galaxy S21 series in international markets. Now, the company has started rolling out the update to the carrier-locked models of those smartphones in the US.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra bears firmware version G99xUSQS5BVA6. The update has started rolling out on a few carrier networks in the US, and more carriers are expected to release the firmware within the next few days.
According to Samsung, the February 2022 security update fixes more than 60 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. The new update could also include device stability improvements and general bug fixes.
If you are a Galaxy S21 series smartphone user in the US, you can now check for the new software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the complete firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
