Samsung has released an update to the Samsung Internet Browser for Wear OS. It changes the web browser’s version to 3.2.00.8 and brings a much-needed feature, the ability to forward pages on Galaxy Watch models (and go to previous webpages and forward webpages on non-Samsung Wear OS smartwatches).

Up until now, when you were browsing the web on the Samsung Internet Browser for Wear OS on your Galaxy Watch, you could go to previous pages by clicking on the wearable’s physical back button. However, there was no option to forward pages. The ability to go back a page using the hardware button was also available only if you set the back button to the ‘Go to previous screen’ option and was available only on Samsung’s smartwatches; it wasn’t available on smartwatches from other brands, such as the Google Pixel Watch.

The changelog for version 3.2.00.8 of Samsung Internet Browser for Wear OS says that it brings the “back and forward feature,” which means that the new version of the app allows you to go to previous pages or forward pages. Currently, there’s no information if the web browser allows you to do so using gestures (swiping from the right to the left of the screen to go back and swiping from the left to the right of the display to go forward) or by clicking on back and forward buttons at the top or the bottom of the display.

The story continues after the video…

No matter the case, you can now forward pages in the Samsung Internet Browser for Wear OS on your Galaxy Watch. As for people using this web browser on non-Samsung smartwatches, they can now go to previous webpages and forward webpages, which is something that they couldn’t do before. To update the Samsung Internet Browser on your Galaxy Watch, go to the Google Play Store, swipe from the top to the bottom of the screen, select My Apps, and if you see an update for the app, click on the app and tap on Update.
