Samsung had launched the Galaxy Tab S8 series in January 2022. The three tablets in the series run Android 12-based One UI 4.1, and out of the box, they featured the January 2022 security patch. Now, Samsung has started rolling out the February 2022 security update to one of its newest tablets.
The latest software update for the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra comes with firmware version X900XXU1AVC5, and it's available in South Korea. The update includes the February 2022 security patch that fixes more than 60 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. It might also include general bug fixes and devices stability improvements.
If you are a Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra user in Korea, you might have already received a notification of the new update. If you haven't received it yet, you can check for the latest update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also manually flash the firmware file after downloading it from our database.
More countries will get the February 2022 security update over the next few days. Even the Galaxy Tab S8 and the Galaxy Tab S8+ are expected to get the new software update.
