We recently reported that Samsung is all set to unveil a new Galaxy M-series phone in Vietnam and India. There was not much clarity on whether it would be the Galaxy M33 5G or the Galaxy M53 5G.
Amidst the doubt, the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G has now picked up Bluetooth SIG certification. This hints that the device could be inching closer to launch.
As per the Bluetooth SIG listing, the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G carries the model numbers SM-M536B_DS, SM-M536B_DSN, and SM-M536S. Notably, some of the Galaxy M53 5G variants could be dual-SIM models, as has been the norm for M-series phones.
The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G will come with Bluetooth v5.2
Moreover, the listing also reveals that the phone will come with Bluetooth v5.2, which will be an upgrade over Bluetooth v5.0 found in its predecessor, the Galaxy M52 5G.
Well, that's all the information about the Galaxy M53 5G that the Bluetooth SIG certification reveals. However, the phone was spotted on Geekbench a couple of weeks ago.
The Geekbench listing for the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G shows that it be ditching Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipset and will come with the MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC.
So, in terms of performance, you shouldn't expect a massive performance improvement compared to the Galaxy M52 5G. Further, the listing also discloses that the phone will run Android 12. More details about the device are expected to pop up soon.
