Two weeks ago, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 first received the One UI 4.1 update in South Korea. Now, the update has been released to the carrier-locked model of the foldable smartphone in the US. Apart from One UI 4.1 features, the new update brings the March 2022 security patch. Smart Widgets is not a part of this update.
The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 bears firmware version F711USQU2CVC7, and it is rolling out in the US. The March 2022 security patch included in the new software fixes over 50 privacy and security vulnerabilities. More markets will soon get the update within the next few weeks.
If you are a Galaxy Z Flip 3 user in the US, you can check for the OTA software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. Alternatively, a clean install of the software can be done after downloading the latest firmware file from our database and flashing it manually.
Galaxy Z Flip 3 One UI 4.1 features
Samsung has included loads of new features into One UI 4.1. The new software brings Google Duo Live Sharing, improved Color Palette feature, enhanced Night Portrait images, and the ability to save videos from front and rear cameras in separate files in the camera app's Director Mode.
The improved Gallery app supports adding portrait effects in any image with a person in it and the ability to adjust the lighting in portrait images. It also offers image edit suggestions, an image remastering tool, Reflection Eraser and Shadow Eraser, and the ability to share pictures and videos via a single link. It also turns select images into 24-hour time-lapse videos.
AR Zone offers the ability to add GIFs from Tenor to your AR Emoji. It also provides the ability to add background colors in mark mode. Emojis can be added to calendar entries. You can share Wi-Fi network credentials and edit history for images and videos via Quick Share. Smart Switch offers more customization for data transfer from older to newer devices.
With SmartThings Find, you can share your devices with family and friends and find lost items together. Samsung Notes allows you to note down things quickly from Samsung Internet and Samsung Gallery. Samsung Keyboard now offers more input methods, layouts, and even language suggestions powered by Grammarly.
In Accessibility settings, One UI 4.1 can adjust left/right audio balance for any audio output device. Bixby Routines now includes the option to change the watch face on the Galaxy Watch 4 or even change deeper settings. Samsung has also included the ability to turn off GOS (Game Optimization Service).
