Samsung Pay is expanding its capabilities for customers in Brazil. The mobile payment platform has been around in Brazil since 2016. And beginning today, Pay customers can link their C6 Bank cards to make fast and secure payments using their Galaxy smartphones and smartwatches.

C6 Bank customers can register their C6, C6 Platinum, C6 Carbon, and C6 Business cards with Samsung Pay. In the fine print, Samsung specifies that Yellow cards and Global Account cards are not accepted.

As a bonus, since C6 Bank allows customers to pick one of ten color options for their physical cards, Samsung added a similar option to its Pay platform. Therefore, the color of your C6 physical card should be represented accurately inside the Samsung Pay app.

C6 Bank customers get extra Samsung Rewards points

Samsung Pay customers in Brazil can earn 500 Samsung Rewards points upon registering a C6 Bank card. In addition, Samsung will reward C6 Bank customers using Samsung Pay with an additional 500 points for each of the first three transactions carried through the mobile payment platform.

Conversely, C6 Bank customers using Samsung Pay can accumulate points in the bank's loyalty program known as the Átomos program. C6 and C6 Platinum card customers can earn 0.03 points for each Brazilian Real (BRL) spent on debit and 0.05 points on each BRL spent on credit via Samsung Pay. Likewise, C6 Carbon card users can earn 2.5 points for every BRL spent on credit using the mobile payment platform.

C6 Bank joins 25 other Brazilian banking institutions and card issuers that already offer support for Samsung Pay. The list of Galaxy devices supporting the platform in Brazil is vast. In short, if your Samsung smartphone or wearable has NFC, it most likely offers Pay capabilities.
