After teasing the Galaxy M53 5G in India a few days ago, Samsung has launched the mid-range smartphone in India today. The Galaxy M53 5G is the second mid-range from the company to feature a 108MP camera. The phone also features a 5G-equipped processor and a big battery.
The Galaxy M53 5G sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has a 32MP front-facing camera placed in the display's center-aligned punch-hole-shaped cutout. At the rear, the device has a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera.
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy M53 5G with the Dimensity 900 processor. This chipset has a similar performance to the Exynos 1280 chipset that's used in the Galaxy A53 5G. The phone also has a big vapor chamber for effective cooling. The device also features 6GB/8GB RAM (with an equal amount of RAM Plus) and 128GB of internal storage.
The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Other security features include Secure Folder and face recognition. It runs Android 12-based One UI 4.1 out of the box.
The Galaxy M53 5G has Dolby Atmos, 5G, dual-SIM card slot (with auto data switching during calls), Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports up to 25W fast charging. The phone, which is 7.4mm thin, is available in Blue and Green colors.
Samsung has priced the 6GB RAM variant of the phone at INR 26,499 (an introductory price of INR 23,999). The 8GB RAM version of the phone is priced at INR 28,499 (an introductory price of INR 25,999). The device is available for purchase via Amazon.in and Samsung.com starting April 29, 2022, at 12PM.
