Samsung has released the April 2022 security update to the carrier-locked models of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra in the US. The unlocked variants of these devices haven't started getting the new software yet.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with firmware version G98xUSQS2FVD1. It brings the April 2022 security patch that fixes over 88 privacy and security vulnerabilities. It also includes general bug fixes and stability improvements.
If you are a carrier-locked Galaxy S20 series smartphone in the US, you can now download and install the latest software update on your device by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and follow the manual flashing process.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy S20 series in early 2020 with Android 10-based One UI 2.1. Phones in the series received the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update in early 2021 and the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update a few months ago.
