Carrier-locked Galaxy S20 FE 5G starts getting April 2022 security update in the US

Two weeks ago, Samsung released the April 2022 security update to the international variant of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G. Now, the update has been expanded to the carrier-locked variant of the smartphone in the US.

The latest software update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G comes with firmware version G781USQS7FVD1. The update is now available on Sprint and T-Mobile's networks in the US. More carriers are expected to release the update over the next few days. The update brings the April 2022 security patch that fixes over 88 security vulnerabilities. It also includes general bug fixes and stability improvements.

If you are a Galaxy S20 FE 5G user in the US, you can now download and install the latest update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in late 2020 with Android 10-based One UI 2.5. The company released the Android 11-based One UI 3 update to the phone in early 2021 and the Android 12-based One UI 4 update in early 2022.
