A ton more Galaxy smartphones are getting the May 2022 security patch, and Samsung's latest foldable flagship phone happens to be among them. As you may recall, the carrier-unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 3 got the May 2022 patch in the United States a week ago. Now it's time for the international variant to pick up the slack.
The update is available for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G (SM-F926B) in a handful of markets, including Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Argentina, Colombia, Trinidad and Tobago, Panama, and Peru.
The new software package can be identified by firmware version “F926BXXS1CVD2,” and judging by this string of letters and numbers, the update doesn't seem to include any other changes or new features aside from improved security.
Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G customers in countries where the new firmware is available can download it via the update notification once it arrives. Or they can trigger said notification from the “Software update” menu inside the Settings app on their phones.
And as always, SamMobile readers can choose to skip the wait, download the official Samsung firmware from our website, and install the update on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G manually. We'll keep you up to speed once the update reaches the premium foldable device on other continents.
