Countless Galaxy smartphone and tablet models run Android 12 as of this writing, and the number is only getting bigger. The latest smartphone to join the list is the Galaxy M22.
The Android 12 and One UI 4.1 update is now available for the Galaxy M22 (SM-M225FV) in Saudi Arabia and UAE. The update carries firmware version M225FVXXU4BFD8.
Elsewhere, the Galaxy M22 runs Android 11, but the latest update should expand its reach to more markets soon.
Android 12 improves things like Nearby Share and adds support for the AVIF image format, among other great things. One UI 4.1 brings many aesthetic changes and upgrades to the user interface and all Samsung's apps.
However, given that the Galaxy M22 is a lower-end device, some One UI 4.1 features will be missing from this Android 12 update. Even so, the new release should feel refreshing to Galaxy M22 customers.
The new Android 12 update doesn't seem to bring a new security patch. It's accompanied by the April 2022 security patch, which was already available in many regions.
Galaxy M22 can download the new update in markets where it's available via the Settings app on their phones after accessing “Software update.” Alternatively, they can download the new, official firmware from our website and install the update manually using a PC.
