The Galaxy S21 FE is joining the rest of the S21 series and is now getting the June 2022 security patch. As usual, the release is staggered, and the firmware is available in limited markets at first. But the rollout should expand into more regions soon.
For now, the Galaxy S21 FE is receiving the new firmware in Thailand. The update carries firmware version G990EXXU2CVF1.
Samsung's official changelog mentions improved security, thanks to the inclusion of the June 2022 security patch. It also claims that the stability of the phone has been improved.
Galaxy S21 FE customers in Thailand should be able to download this new update upon receiving the notification or by opening the Settings app, navigating to “Software update,” and tapping “Download and install.”
The official firmware files are also available for download from our website for manual installation. The new update and June 2022 security patch for the Galaxy S21 FE should arrive in more markets soon, so keep an eye on our news section or firmware page.
Speaking of news, Samsung is preparing a new Galaxy S21 FE variant. It has a less powerful chipset and lacks 5G connectivity, presumably. It should hit the market this summer. Stay tuned!
