Samsung has released a new ad in the form of a short film inspired by the Netflix series Stranger Things to showcase the advanced Nightography capabilities of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The film pays homage to the series and uses vertical footage captured with the Galaxy flagship's primary cameras.

More specifically, the ad titled Make STRANGER Nights Epic demonstrates the Galaxy S22's 108MP primary sensor, which features 2.4um pixels and advanced AI features to deliver crisp video footage in low lighting conditions.

Without spoiling the video below, it contains some simulated back pocket recordings with CGI elements, but it also includes actual footage captured with the Galaxy S22 Ultra, according to Samsung.

The short film aims for a similar feel to the popular Netflix series and matches the Nightography theme with the events from the fourth season. Evidently, the Galaxy S22 is a 2022 phone, so the action in Samsung's short film takes place in the present rather than the '80s.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra main camera system includes a wide 108MP sensor and a 12MP ultrawide shooter. In addition, it features a 10MP telephoto camera and a 10MP periscope telephoto sensor.

Samsung continued further improving the Galaxy S22 Ultra camera post-launch via firmware updates. The June release brought improvements to sharpness, contrast, video recording memory usage, portrait mode performance, and more.
