The Galaxy S21 series received the June 2022 security patch in Europe on May 31. In the US, the update has now been released for carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
The latest software update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S21 series comes with firmware version G99xUSQU5CVF3 in the US. It brings the June 2022 security patch that fixes 66 privacy and security vulnerabilities. It also includes device stability improvements and general bug fixes for all three phones in the series.
If you are a Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, or Galaxy S21 Ultra user in the US with a carrier-locked model, you can now download and install the new security update on your phone. To do that, head over to Settings » Software update and tap on download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file and flash it manually.
