Samsung became the first Android smartphone brand to release a new security update. It released the July 2022 patch to the Galaxy A32. Now, the Galaxy S22 series is getting the July 2022 security patch, and the update has been released in Asia and Europe. Other countries could get this update within the next few days.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra has firmware version S90xEXXU2AVF9 is available in Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. In Europe, the update comes with firmware version S90xBXXU2AVF5. It brings the July 2022 security patch that fixes dozens of privacy and security vulnerabilities. Samsung is yet to release its July 2022 security patch documentation.
If you are a Galaxy S22 series user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update and download it by navigating to Settings » Software update and clicking on Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 series with Android 12-based One UI 4.1 on board. The South Korean firm promised to release four major Android OS updates to these phones. They are also bound to get security updates for up to five years.
