Ahead of the final release of the Android 13 update by Google, Samsung is making sure that even its low-end smartphones have received the Android 12 update. The latest in line to receive the Android 12 update is the Galaxy F12, and the update is now available in India.
The Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update for the Galaxy F12 comes with firmware version F127GXXU3BVG1. The new software also includes the June 2022 security patch. If you are in India and have the Galaxy F12, you can update your phone to Android 12 by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. Make sure that your phone has enough free storage space to install the update.

The Android 12 update brings a revamped UI design with Material You-based Color Palette feature, new widgets, a new widget picker UI, improved Dark Mode, and thicker sliders for brightness and volume. The new software also brings performance improvements and better animations and transitions.
Samsung has also improved all the stock apps, including Calendar, My Files, Samsung Internet, and Samsung Keyboard. The Device Care section has also received a design improvement. The built-in Gallery and Image Editor have received new editing features and enhanced Stories.
In terms of privacy and security, the One UI 4.1 update brings dedicated quick setting toggles to enable/disable camera and microphone access across the system. There are privacy indicators for active camera and microphone usage by apps. The South Korean firm has also added a lot of small features, including the ones related to accessibility.
