Three Samsung Galaxy Labs apps are getting fresh new updates with mystery changelogs. The company is rolling out a new version of Good Guardians (a.k.a. Galaxy Labs) and new updates to Thermal Guardian and Galaxy App Booster.
Coincidentally, all three app updates carry the same version: “3.0.46.” Likewise, all three updates are missing their changelogs or present older changelogs as new.
If you haven't heard of Thermal Guardian and Galaxy App Booster, it's probably due to the fact that they're components for Galaxy Labs / Good Guardians. And although Samsung has implemented a more widespread “Labs” feature in One UI for more Galaxy devices, it's limited to only a couple of experimental features for multi-window users. In other words, it lacks tools like Thermal Guardian and Galaxy App Booster.
Samsung Thermal Guardian is an experimental tool that allows users to change the thermal throttling threshold of their Galaxy devices. It offers more control over the chipset's throttling parameters. It became a part of Galaxy Labs last year, along with Memory Guardian.
Galaxy App Booster is an app optimization tool that can make Android apps run better and post a 5-to-15% performance boost. Keep in mind that both Samsung Thermal Guardian and Galaxy App Booster are available for customers who already have access to Galaxy Labs / Good Guardians.
Galaxy Labs / Good Guardians is an environment where Samsung and its customer base can try out new experimental features. Some of these features can grow to become essential parts of One UI for Galaxy smartphone and tablet customers worldwide.
