There is no stopping Telegram from going wild for emojis. The instant messaging platform's recent updates have been emoji-heavy, and guess what? The latest update will change the way you use emojis in your responses. As previously reported, while it was still under wraps, Telegram Premium subscribers will now get the functionality of sending 500 emojis from 10 new custom packs on the app. Moreover, anyone can submit their own created animated or static emoji packs.

However, developers need to create the emoji packs in .webm or Telegram's proprietary .tgs format. Interested developers can refer to the full formatting guide for more details. When you start typing, the sticker button will change to an emoji button, which will open the revamped emoji panel. All users, premium or not, can see the animated emojis. Even free users can use the custom emojis without any limitations.

Users can also gift Telegram Premium subscriptions to their loved ones

The official blog also mentions a new batch of interactive emoji animations. These interactive emojis are also available for Telegram Premium subscribers, and any user can tap to play synchronized full-screen effects. Telegram is also adding improved privacy settings for voice messages. Premium users will get a new setting that will allow them to control who can send them voice or video messages. They will have options such as Everyone, My Contacts, or Nobody to choose from.

Last but not least, Telegram is offering a one-of-a-kind gifting option to its users. If you are tempted by Telegram Premium features, then you can have someone gift you a Telegram Premium subscription, or you can gift your friends or family a Telegram Premium subscription for 3, 6, or 12 months at a discount.

Users can gift premium subscriptions by heading over to their profile and choosing the Gift Premium option, or using bots such as @PremiumBot to subscribe to Telegram Premium or gift it.
