A couple of months ago, the Galaxy A03s started getting the Android 12 update. Back then, Samsung had released the update only for the international variant of the device. Now, the company has released the Android 12 update to the unlocked version of the Galaxy A03s in the US.
The Android 12 update for the Galaxy A03s comes with firmware version A037U1UEU2BVH2 in the US. It includes the July 2022 security patch and is available on almost all carrier networks in the country, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular South, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile.
If you are a Galaxy A03s user in the US with an unlocked version, you can download the Android 12 update on your phone by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
What's new in Galaxy A03s Android 12 update?
The Android 12 update also brings One UI Core 4.1 to the Galaxy A03s. It has a refreshed UI design with better Dark Mode, updated widget styling, and a newer widget picker UI. It also brings the Color Palette feature that changes the colour combinations of UI elements based on the chosen wallpaper.
Samsung has also improved the privacy and security of the Galaxy A03s. The phone now has privacy indicators when cameras or microphones are actively used. It also offers quick setting toggles that you can use to enable/disable camera and microphone access across the device.
There are more lock screen widgets, an improved Privacy Dashboard, and bigger sliders for screen brightness and volume adjustment. The phone offers a way to share the approximate location with apps rather than the accurate location. The camera app is now slightly simpler, and it starts recording videos as soon as the shutter button is touched rather than when the shutter button is released.
The Gallery app now has improved Image Editor and Video Editor. The image editor can remaster old and blurry images and remove shadows from them. The phone can create enhanced stories from images and videos captured using its camera. Sensitive information such as date, location, and time can be removed from images before sharing them with others. Since all the image edit history is saved, you can revert those edits.
The Calendar app now has a new widget and allows adding stickers. The sharing menu is now simpler, and you can even customize it. The Device Care app has received minor UI changes. Samsung Keyboard now offers more emojis and stickers. Picture-in-picture, Edge Panel, charging information, and search quality have improved.
